  1. to renew a child passport it costs £45...

or you could see if you qualify for an extention, which is free.

  2. are you in the US ? you really need to get the passport going fast , this is busy season and it might take 8 to 10 weeks

if in the US ? go to the post-office and get an application , get the pictures done ,

you may not sign the application if in the US , it has to be signed in front of the clerk

    as to the cost ?

Under Age 16: The passport application fee is $52. The execution fee is $30. The total is $82 .

The passport application fee includes the $12.00 Security Surcharge, which became effective March 8, 2005.

  3. As already stated, it's £45.

You can get a form from the Post Office - if you get it off quickly, before the really busy season starts, they'll turn it round in a week, although they say to allow three.

If you find forms difficult, you can have it checked at the Post Office, and they'll send it direct to the passport office for £7 extra - that should make sure there's no delays through them having to get back to you.

He'll almost certainly need new photos, which will need countersigning by a British passport holder.

  4. Go to this site, it will give you all the information you need.

  5. Can't help you, sorry. But if he's going in June, you need to get it done ASAP, so he doesn't miss his holiday! ps They should advise you at P.O.
