Whats the difference between..?

super macro and macro when talking about photography, i have both settings on my camera and i dont know what the difference is.

  1. Macro mode usually lets you use the zoom. Super macro locks the lens at the widest end (zooms all the way out) and gives you the closest focusing distance, often offering more magnification than macro mode. The working distance is also significantly smaller when using super macro (the distance between the camera and the subject) so its not for all situations.
