in words it would be: carbondioxide and water plus sunlight, gives carbohydrate and oxygen :)

6H2O + 6CO2 = C6H12O6 + 6O2, in the presence of sunlight (energy) + chlorophyll (catalyst/enzyme).  The C6 compound is glucose or fructose, and is the simple sugar from which the various other carbohydrates can be built.
