Whats this spanish thing called?

I belive its deep fried and it has meat and potato in it? Its like the shape of a ball?

it could be a gordita like the other lady said. but gorditas are flat with a cut on the top and stuffed with what ever filling you want. there not in a ball.they are made out of corn maseca.

In Spain we call this bombas, and it is made forming a ball with potato mash and has a stuffing that can be mince meat in a chilli tomato sauce or tuna in oil mixed with tabasco sauce; Once the ball is done, we coat in flour, then wisked eggs and finaly in breadcrumbs and the deep fried. In tapas bars along spain it is served with a "salsa rosa" , a basic sauce of mixing mayonaisse and tomato sauce. Because the filling inside the potato mash usually is hot spicy, I guess the name is where cames from, cos as you can guess the translation for bomba is bomb
