Whats up with my boyfriends eye?

My boyfriend got elbowed in the eye playing football, and he has a black eye and a popped blood vessel. this happened at least 2 weeks ago, and the black eye is gone but the popped blood vessel is still there ( it looks like his eyeball is bleeding) how long will that take to go away? because he has his senior pictures coming up in a week and he wants it to be gone by then.

that happened to my boyfriend too. it took him about 3 weeks for it to start going away.

it will probably take at least another week to heal. my aunt had a vessel pop and she had to do a theater show with it like that. if its not looking any better tell him to go to see his eye doctor

It is called a subconjunctival hemmorhage.  It is just like a bruise and should go away on its own in a few weeks.  There is nothing that an eye doctor can do for it.
