Whats up with the new Mousetrap?

Bought Mousetrap the other day from toys r us and didn't really pay any attention to the box, but the whole trap is different and the game only takes about 10 minutes to complete what happened to the classic mousetrap and why wasn't i informed

Its probably been interfered with by the 'elfansafety' brigade. Old style game posed too great a risk of modern day kids overtaxing their brains or overextending their concentration span!

It's a classic game (I had one over 40yrs ago) but the makers probably thought to give it a make over like many things. But as you have found out, it wasn't the best idea they had.

thats sad to hear, i loved mousetrap.  i would say try looking on ebay to find an original mousetrap and it will be more fun.

The pieces were probably considered choking hazards so the game was re-done, though it wouldn't surprise me if it has lead paint instead.

write to the company who makes the game

and why were you not informed who should have informed you not toys r us , cos how would they know that u wanted the original verson
