  1. There is no definitive cure for laziness, you will have to bite the bullit and work your way out of it. Think of the worst case scenario, the very worst job that you can think of, now imagine that you could be there for 30 years, scary thought.  Fear is a great motivator, now get your a$$ into gear and do the college work, you know what awaits you if you don't.

  2. it's obvious that you're not ready and not motivated to do the necessary work that college demands. if you can't snap out of it and it's your 2nd year, quit school or take a leave of absence. get a FULL TIME job and work. figure out if you're motivated to finish your degree.

  3. Lack of motivation to work, failure to take in what you've read and falling asleep over your book could be symptoms of depression.  You need to see your college counsellor to ascertain whether there may be a medical problem.

The big bind here is that many people dismiss inability to work because of depression as laziness.  It happened to me at high school and again some years later at college.  I just flunked out of my last year at high school and got a job.  The depression cleared up, only to return six years later when I finally went to college.  This time depression was diagnosed and I got treatment and finished my course.

Of course, some people who are just bone idle do try to hide behind fake medical reasons for not getting their college work done.  Only you can know which case probably applies to you.
