Whats wrong with my Gerbil? Urgent!?

Question

I just went in my room and took my gerbil out to hold and he seemed out but alot calmer then normal. When I put him back he stayed where I put him then started walking and falling over. Then just layed there and started spasming/twitching. It also looks like he's heaving. He's over 3 yrs old and I know alot of things can happen to him but what could this be? Its too late for the vet tonight but do you think he'll be alive in the morning... Im really attached and I dont wanna lose him DX

He could be getting old? That is probably one of the things on your mind.

Maybe he was exercising a lot when you weren't there?

He could be alive in the morning and should. It is sad to loose a great friend like that. Good luck! If he still is alive in the morning, and doing the same thing, then take him to the vet.

Hes getting old

im not sure if hes going to be alive
