i have a tt225 from 1986. it was working perfectly until one day of riding, after about 2 hours, i was riding slow and i guess i wuz in too low of rpm to shift but shifted anyways to 2nd gear, and it shut off. but when i tried to turn it on again i couldnt kick it over. so i rolled the bike for a few meters and it was able to turn over again. but now it wont start and it makes a weerd clinging noise when i kick it over. theres still spark, compression, all that stuff but wont start. what do you think is wrong with it?

  1. check to make sure u have the right oil filter in it. this happened to mine and i had the wrong filter. what happens is that oil can not reach your overhead cams, therefore creating pressure underneath the piston. the sound is the unoiled cams
