Wheel bearing question?

i think i have a wheel bearing going out on my front passenger side wheel. while im driving if i hit a bump it will start squeaking for a few sec then go away. i jacked the car up this morning and turned there wheel by had and you could here some squeaking. but i have always been told when its the bearing that you would be able to shake the tire a little, and i have no play on it. dispute that im thinking its probably still the bearing, just wanted to come to you guys for advice. thanks

Sounds like it is starting to go out. Believe me when it is gone you can hear it like no other. When you have play on the wheel that is when the bearing is toast and it can lead to other problems with your hub assembly. I suggest if you have the cash I would change it out now to save yourself the trouble later on.

I believe your right, you can always raise the front of the car and spin the wheels by hand  and you will hear which wheel has the bad bearing, I never bought into the idea that the wheel will have play in it.
