I'm a senior in high school and I wanted to take the CLEP for college credit. Are there specific test days for it or do I just schedule it with the college. And if I take the CLEP at one college will another college accept it. Since I've done Ap and stuff, if I do good on enough CLEP's can I skip the first year of college.(you know to save money by skipping the basics)

  1. All of that will depend on the policy of the college you will be attending.  Not all colleges accept credit for all of the CLEP tests, and the number of credits they will accept varies.  Many schools will accept at least 30 credits, some will take even more than that.   Available test days and times vary by test location.  Your best bet to get the answers to your questions is to contact the college you will be attending to determine what their CLEP policy is, then contact the testing facility to find out their testing days & hours.  Good luck!
