---Yes it is free. Flash is like Java, HTML and any other scripting protocol. The plug-in is the dictionary that tells your PC how to read what's written. It is a plug-in so you can view flash through your browser... nothing more. There is no trial, it is a necessary plug-in due to the demands by modern websites and such.
