When i make a response essay..?

when i make a response essay on whether i agree on something...am i supposed to use I, we, me, etc? or am i not supposed to..

IE

i write

" i agree with the statement because of these reasons"

or

" this statement is true because of these reasons"

I'm pretty sure that you refrain from using first-person references in essays, unless they are personal essays.

Go with the second statement.  If you get stuck and feel like you need to use a personal pronoun, try using the word "one" instead.  For example, instead of saying "I would consider this very important", you could say "One would consider this very important".
