When in Rome?

My parents will be arriving in Rome tomorrow, and will spend some time in Florence as well as Spain and Portugual.

Any idea's on what is a must while they are there? They are both very active.

  1. I can tell you about Rome, because I have been there couple of times. So, they should go to Fontana di Trevi, it's one of the most beautiful fountains in the world, then the Colosseum, Vatican, and Vatican Museums, they are huge and beautiful!

    Then Piazza di Spagna, or also known as Spanish steps, they are great, and the Navona square. Rome is beautiful city, full of life, full of people, very safe, great food, great wine, beautiful people, famous history, it is my favorite city. I hope your parents wil enjoy Europe...

Rome is a big town.Must use metro.ticket for 3 days.hotel ambra palace.50 meter from metro.You need 3 --4 days.vatican city,galleria borgeze(YOU MUST VISIT),colloseum.san jiovanni in laterano(very big church),fontana di trevi(only for 30 minutes),some famous but very expencive shops near to spanise steps,piazza venecia,piazza navona,museum near to capitolion.For rome you can buy a book( best is from national geografic).Dont forget to visit Tivoli.Is 30 km from rome.Very beautiful gardens.

    For florence need1- 2 days.Historical center can see by feet.Santa maria novela,Cathedral dom e.t.c.Very nice is toscana.San gimignano.In florence dont stay in hotel majestic.is very dirty

    I suggest that they visit Paris and Geneva.

  6. There's so much to see there - it's such a great city.  Here are a few ideas for them:

    Coloseum and Roman Forum

    The Pantheon

    Trevi Fountain

    Piazza Navona (a definite must see - nice place to grab a drink or a snack)

    St. Peter's Basilica (amazing)

    Campidoglio (good view of Forum, great museum)

    The Spanish Stairs (high end stores - nice place to do some window shopping)

    Rome's great - hope they have a great time.  Wish I were going!

  7. I would go see the Roman Collesium, and the world's smallest country, The Vaticam!
