When learning a new language...?

I would say from experience to learn the abc's and how to say them. then the basics like hi, bye and stuff. After that then the grammar. Once you get the grammar the rest is pretty much just memorizing.

Get lyrics of songs you know in that foreign language. That will surely help your vocabulary and encourage your further learning. A good grammar book also helps. Read books in that language. Remember, It takes time!!
