When will PFE make a rebound?

Is this company bust for the long haul, or will they become a market leader when pharmaceuticles come out of the bear market?

They are on a little bit of a rebound, at least over the last month and a half or so.  It has been a dog for a long time, but it could be a great time to get in.  It looks like the drug stocks are starting to get hot but probably more as a defensive play.  They do pay a great dividend, so now could be a great time to own it.

I've owned for 10 years, bought in the 40s...benn a painful few years but I have been reinvesting the dividends.  There are concerns about patents expiring, pipeline, and what the next president will do about drug plans.

That said I saw some research that valued PFE in the mid 20s, so its trading at a discount.  I think big pharma is set fot another run and am looking at adding to my position.  Also looking at MRK and BMY.

Not until they develop their own molecules in their own labs. Their pipeline has had a number of failures of late.

The market is keeping the price down because Pfizer hoards cash rather than putting it to work.

It certainly IS making a rebound. It is a strong stock in the current rally. It's probably helped by its dividend, and in a weak economy a dividend can help a stock, provided the dividend isn't cut. PFE looks good to me.

Last week they were 17 per share , now they are 19.50, they pay a great dividend, and have amazing products in the pipeline.

I think it is a great company and it already started to come back.

Do I own any, you bet!

Should you buy some, I think so.
