When will my lisp go?

I've had braces for exactly a week now and I still speak funny because I can't pronouce words beginning with 's' or 't' properly. Is it a permanent thing or does it go away with time?

I used to have braces and that happened to me too! it will go away very soon ( a week maybe? ) it also happens when you get your retainer. you just have to get used to talking with it. :]
