When wiring up a phone,?

can you cut the pstn lead off and hardwire it to yout tv aerial or 240v leccy instead??? also, why is my adsl so fast? any tips to slow it down please!!!!

You can hardwire your phone to your TV aerial if you want it to just sit there and do nothing.  You can wire it to 240V if you want it to let out the magic smoke.  And as everybody knows, when the magic smoke escapes, it no longer works.

In your case I think wiring your phone to the mains is an excellent idea! Standing in a puddle of your own urine may help with the grounding while you complete this task. I would also avoid isolating the power as this just slows things down! Best of Luck!!
