  1. It depends on where you live, and your age. In some countries it is required under a certain age. Check with the resort you plan to go to, to be sure.

Even if it isn't required it is a really good idea to wear one. The most common injuries in snowboarding are broken wrist, tailbone, and head injuries. It takes only a relatively minor head injury to die. Helmets are not expensive so it doesn't make a lot of sense to not wear one.

  2. No but it's safer. If you're a first or even second timer, I reccomend it. Snowboarding is hard but fun once you get the hang out it. I'm going soon, this January.

  3. no

  4. these rules deped usually on the resort and your age. Also some states might have laws saying you have to wear one. I'vev personally never been to a ski resort or mountain that required this, but i've only gone to about 8

  5. you are an idiot

  6. If it isn't..then it should be. Considering how dangerous it is...I can only imagine that it would be required.

  7. No, but if you have one you should wear it.  It may be rocky and there are definatly a lot of trees where you can seriously hurt yourself.  My friend didn't wear a helmet and he went off a jump and landed on his head and now he's paralyzed from the head down.

  8. It's not required but it would be smart to for your first few times and it is a good idea if you do jumps and some of the bigger rails

  9. Nope.  i went when i was like in gr 7 and never had to .. no one around me either

  10. no, but i recomend one.. i almost slammed my head into a tree today.. i was literally an inch away when i landed on my head.
