  1. I haven't met but one Russian in my life.  He was in accounting courses with me.  He was a pleasant man, intelligent, polite, and knowledgeable about advanced accounting.  He had been an accountant in Russia but his degree wasn't accepted for a CPA exam in the states.

I do not judge an entire ethnic group on gossip, hearsay, or by having met only one representative.

  2. I've been friends with a russian since dec 07 this year. I am american. I'm glad i took the time to learn about her culture and country, she did the same with mine.

I think russians are very intelligent ( most speak more than 1 language)! I think of them as being very interested in arts and enrichment. Before i met my friend, i believed the american stereotypes from movies. That most russians love vodka, are spys or bodybuilders. Totally not true!! Once you take the time to get to know other people, you can learn alot.

I have one love for everyone. We live in one world.

    Peace.

  3. Nation which survives other nations by ages,Russia saved Estonia,Latvia,Lithuania from Hitler,Russia saved osetians and abkhazians from Georgian Hitler Saakashvili...

  4. To be honest, it's a mixed feeling of approval and annoyance...

I guess I've learned too much over the years about them from way back, up until now, and most of it's been negative. I've learned about their government, their military, the space race and all that stuff, so I have a lot of angry things to "darken" my opinion about them.

Then again, I try to look at the reasons why they do what they do, and see that it's not because they're mean or anything like that, they

re just doing what they believe they need to do.

And if you're talking about Georgia, then I can completely see why the Russians are doing what they're doing, even if I don't approve.

  5. I have nothing against the russians they are alright with me.

  6. The unmistakable accent.  ;)

  7. I think of the Russian that stabbed someone that I know. The Russian is now in jail for 18 months.

  8. I think Dellarovere said it all, and in the light of the recent developments in world's politics, I would add Putin to the list. Great country=great people.

  9. Russian ...? We are different. :)

Start to get rid of stereotypes.

The Cold War ended long ago.

  10. I think of the nation that gave birth to Dostoevsky, Tolstoy, Puskin, Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninoff, Ulanova, Tatlin, Kadisnky, and so many other authors and artists that only my two counries of origin, Greece and Italy can be equally proud of in the whole world.

  11. When I think Russians, I think Russia.
