Where are the Himalayas?

Tell all the information you can about them,please.

They are a mountain range at the northern part of the Indian subcontinent (don't know the relation between them and the border of the country of India). I think they might extend into China (for example, Tibet might be in the Himalayas).  They include Mt. Everest.  Plate tectonics states that they were pushed up out of the (no longer existent) sea when the Indian plate collided with the Asian plate.
