Where can i download volume control?

Question

I have absolutely no idea how, but I deleted my volume control for the computer [the thing near the computer clock for the sound etc]

How can I get it back?

I've already done a system restore - it failed twice.

go to start menu > control panel > sounds and audio devices > volume tab & select place volume icon in the taskbar

This might do it:

Open Control Panel and open Sounds and Audio Devices.  There's a little box in the middle of the window that says "Place volume icon in the taskbar".  Click to place a check mark and it should come back.  If not, then it's a different setting.

One of my programs uninstalled mine and I had a hard time finding any way to get it back.  I finally had to uninstall the program and get something else, just to keep the icon next to the clock.
