I love Pampers b/c they seem to fit the best and are the softest. The crusiers are also the only one that I dont have to readjust as he roams the house. HOWEVER, at size 4 they are so expensive and not really in the buget any more. so weve been trying cheaper ones. Im ok with LUVS but they just dont seem as comfy. Where can you get the cheap? Samsclub is ok but they still equal to about 27 cents a diaper where walmart is 28. not a big deal!!!

Also mommies do you think its in my head that pampers are best? will we be ok to continue cheap diapers? hehe

  1. try diapers.com  that site as everything you need for the baby..  thats where i get my diapers from and they are cheaper then the stores..  i use pampers for my son, i think they are the best..  so try that site:)

  2. Pampers ARE the best diapers!! My child is in a size 4 now and I just bought a package of luvs. they are no much cheaper, and 3 of the diapers have ripped. They are not as absorbent so you get what you pay for. If you shop at a store with concrete floors you can use there monthly coupon books and save at least 4 dollars off a box of pampers and they allow you to use manufacturer coupons that can save you another 1.50-5.00 dollars off. Hope this helps.

  3. No, it's not in your head.  I started with Luvs, and then switched to Huggies cuz they had the stretchy waistband when Luvs didn't.  I was sick of other people putting the diaper way too tight or way too loose on my daughter when they changed her, and the stretchy waistband helped avoid that.  With something like that, if I prefer the name brand, I'll pay for it.  I find that the bigger the box or package, the cheaper the diapers.  I used to get Huggies by the box at Walmart.  Like you, I saw them at BJ's club but they were almost the same price and I'd have to pay for the membership I'd hardly use too.  So around here, Walmart is cheapest for diapers, grocery stores are expensive here when it comes to diapers.  I also used to receive coupons in the mail so I'd use those too, they'd be either $1 or $1.50 off.

  4. Babies aren't always in "the budget" and i prefer huggies and wont change no matter how much they cost, and cheaper isn't always better.

  5. I'll only buy Pampers when they are on sale and have a coupon, usually at Shop-rite or Target. They are the softest but I found CVS brand diapers work really well and they are cheap.  Hold just as much as Pampers, but aren't as soft (which isn't a big deal, they get changed every 1 hour or so) but they are still flexible.

  6. It's not in your head at all. Pampers, I have found, are the best for our daughter. I LOVE them. They're comfy, flexible, have a nice smell to them, and best of all, they hold the best. We even accidentally sent one through the wash and it came out full and in tact!

We don't mind spending the extra money on Pampers. But I have found the cheapest to be at any grocery store, especially the sales, and Pampers go on sale all the time at grocery stores.

We get the large count boxes for the equivilant of 18 cents a diaper!

    Good luck!

  7. PAMPERS are my favorite diaper, I hate huggies and all other brands...LUVS feel like pure plastic.  I find great deals at target sometimes.

  8. diapers.com = .24cents per diaper for pampers baby dry extra large case (176 size 4 diapers)....plus delivery is free when you spend over $49 AND you get $10 off your first order.  If you're set on cruisers, they're a little more money, but just wait until there is a sale and/or use a coupon...

  9. i just bought a pack of 204 pampers baby dry, size 3 for $33 at babies r us (i had a coupon though, normally they are $37, still a pretty good deal i think)

  10. My son just got out of diapers a few months ago and he always had Luvs. They are just so much cheaper and they do the job just as well as other brands. I know Pampers looks cuter and is softer, but it's up to you on what matters most : your budget or extreme comfort? I'd say give your pocket book a break =) (My son went up to a size 6 and I'm glad I was using Luvs!)

  11. I haven't found them any cheaper than Sam's or Costco.  Luv's really are a great alternative.  Try a package of really cheap, store brand diapers and you will love Luv's (not all store brand diapers, some are good but others are horrible)!  Or, use Pampers at night and Luv's during the day.

  12. I also like pampers swaddlers or huggies gentle care and will not use any other brands.  I have tried luvs, parents choice, white cloud, target, cvs, and they all are rough and leak.  I use coupons and buy them by the box.

  13. I would say wait until they're onsale or you find a coupon! Otherwise I can't help you. Sowwie :(

  14. I personally, think huggies are best, but my child is a female, lol, so they have different needs. I too was forced to switch to Luv's because they are the cheapest brand name, and I've found that the store brands don't hold hardly anything. Of course, neither do the Luvs, I had to dish out extra to buy overnight diapers(huggies) to try and save some of my daughter's bedding from needing washed every single day(we have just 2 cribsheets, so I was washing them both after naptime everyday). We still use the Luv's during the day, but I miss my huggies. Lol. I have yet to find a cheap place for diapers unless you're willing to buy a lot in bulk, lol, and i have no where to store them all.

    Good luck!

  15. If you sign up with pampers.com, they will send you coupons in the mail. Oftentimes I have received $2 off coupons. If you sign up your address, then maybe your parents addresses, and then maybe your in-laws address, and add on a few friends addresses and ask them to give them to you. (Make sure to ask them if it is okay first!)

I looked online and could not find anything better than 28 cents per diaper, so the coupons are gonna be your best bet.

Also, do whatever you are comfortable with. I personally think pampers are great for newborns and young kids. But as my kids got older, the cheap ones suited them just fine. If you want your kids to have pampers though, then let them have pampers :)
