If you are new to this and don't know the medical insurance market inside out, then the best option is to go to an independent adviser. Or a broker as is more commonly known.

I have used http://www.bestmedicalcover.co.uk and it was quick and easy. They do drive a hard sale but the end result is good. Its better with an internet company than a face to face broker.

The best way to get insurance is through your employer (if they offer it.) Usually don't have to worry about pre-existing conditions.

But if your employer doesn't offer it, the best way is to find a local independant agent in your area that can help you find the policy that will meet your needs both financially and medically. They will be able to show you a wider variety of plans and companies plus they will be able to help you through the application and underwriting process.They do not charge for their services either.

try an insurance company, phone up most decent one that sounds good to you and ask about it
