Where dose the water come from?

ok this has been buggin me alot lol ... ok in the olden days ppl use to get water from a well. Well how did the water get in there for them to get the water.. yeah i know seems odd but i just wanted to know!!

god put the water in there. and you know there were rivers at that time and also fresh water from the nile river in egypt.

they would dig a hole until they found an underground stream, then they would build the well around it.

If they were extremely lucky they may have hit an underground stream. If you dig a deep hole, then the ground-water will find its way into your hole and you can draw the water. You now have a well. The ground-water is there as a result of rainwater soaking into the soil.

well one day God realized that his people were getting thirsty and tired and it was too much for them to come and ask him. So he put it in the well
