There is a Codoba Spain.. And there is a Cordova, Veracruz in Mexico.  The Cordova in Mexico is a little bit more popular than the one in Spain.. Its one of Mexico's most richest ports.  Thats where the Spanish also came and conquered first before they invaded the rest of the land.
