Where is Fern Gully?

I'm looking for Fern Gully, not the one in Jamaica. I read somewhere it's near Australia but I can't find any more out about it. Thanks.

I know that it's a really cool forest that is being torn down by ****** non-environmentalist scum. And there is actually a lot of really cool talking bats and fairy folk living there.

This movie was set in Australia.

Also, there is a ferntree gully park in Australia. A fern gully is a description of a part of a forest, and as far as I know there are a lot of them.
