  1. It is in the highlands, in the area where Puno is. Silver mines are located in the south east part of Peru, in places within Puno like Juliaca and then some in Potosi, Bolivia. There is also some silver in mines in Huancavelica, Cajamarca and Pasco, all places within the peruvian highland.
