Ok, I am currently living in Salt Lake City. I have lived in Detroit for a while but mainly Utah. Well and Puerto Rico. I am bilingual, a legal citizen, and want to start out in retail, or working at the airport or just something while i get through college. I don't care really what college I go to as long as its in one of the cities I am about to list. I also want to live in the city (I hate the suburbs) I don't really care if I live in a nice area. As long as it's not just horrible. So considering rent, city-life, how easily could I get a decent job to help live off of till I get a career, and just overall job market, transit, rent, salaries, ect.

Atlanta, GA

Houston, TX

Dallas, TX

I am mainly trying to decide between Atlanta and Houston.

Dallas is cool though.

  1. These places are all very hot and humid. Consider Flagstaff AZ for a nice climate.

  2. Go to findyourspoot.com and take a test that will tell you where you are best suited to live.  Its fun too.

  3. am from houston and i would not recommend it- keep driving east to atlanta and there are good and bad areas everywhere - atlanta has a lot to offer, you just have to make an effort to take advantage of it

  4. We moved from Atlanta to Park City, Utah 5 years ago. We didn't like Atlanta at all due to crime and weather. I don't think you'd like it there. We also looked at Dallas before Utah, and it wasn't much different from Atlanta. Haven't been to Houston, but at least there's an ocean nearby. if you're open to something different, try going to the University of Hawaii in Honolulu. It's pretty cheap to go to that school, actually. Not so cheap to live there, but it would be quite the experience! Just my 2 cents...
