Where to find Betta Breeders

Question

Is there a place where betta breeders list themselves? I'm trying to find half moon bettas in Virginia Beach, but the ones they have in the stores here are all olddddd and look like they're constipated or have dropsy, so I'm afraid to buy.

Check the International Betta Congress website to see if there are any nearby chapters.  If not, check out betta forums like ultimatebettas.com to try and link up with breeders nearby.  If that doesnt work than you'll have to break down and have them shipped to you from a site like aquabid.com.  They have some awesome bettas there but it can get terribly expensive.

Or if you can't get anywhere with that, try aqua bid I bought my half moon on there and he is gorgeous. You can go on there and just drool over all the beautiful bettas on there.
