Where to find vegetarian marshmallows?

I couldn't even find any at whole foods.

gelatin doesn't have meat in it. but if you are vegan, thats a whole different story....

Pangea (www.veganstore.com) has Vegan Sweets marshmallows and Suzanne's Ricemellow Fluff.  The Ricemellow Fluff is good for making a fluffernutter.

Vegan Essentials (www.veganessentials.com), Different Daisy (www.vegangoods.com), and Cosmo's Vegan Shoppe (www.cosmosveganshoppe.com) all carry Sweet & Sara marshmallows and her heavenly S'mores.  Sweet & Sara is trying to get her products into Whole Foods (they're already in some Whole Foods in the Northeast), so you might want to ask the store manager (and get your friends to do the same) to carry them.

You can also check the Sweet & Sara website to see if any local natural foods stores carry them.

I should also tell you that S&S stuff has to be kept cool, and the vegan online retailers will probably want to use a cold pack to ship.  I suggest you find the retailer closest to you to shorten the transit time.

There is vegan gelatin... Not all gelatins are made of animal products. sweet & sara's marshmallows are vegan, therefore you would still be a vegetarian. There are alot of other vegan brand marshmallows too. Just google it.

If you want to try a vegan marshmallow fluff try Ricemellow Creme fluff. You can probably find it in health food stores, etc.  It's great for making peanut butter and fluff sandwiches and yummy vegan s'mores and you can make ricemellow krispy treats with it too. Yum!
