  1. This a good question, i remember using balata balls and man you could get some major feel on them.  I'm going to check back and see if anybody knows where to get some.  It would sure be nice if Titleist would put one on the market that's a little softer than the prov1

  2. Golfsmith.com.  If they don't have them, they can recommend something close to it.

  3. Good Question...I asked the same at my Proshop after having left the game for years to be a Daddy.....

HE laughed and said they don't make Balatas anymore ...and haven't for some time.....He got me hitting The new TaylorMade Blacks....

The feel of the Balata but tougher skinned....no more wound balls

  4. Titliest used to make the balata balls back in the 70-80's and then came the professional.  And has progressed from there.  Balata is history, prov1 and prov1x's are in today.  If you find new balata ball's tell me where.  Those balls would have a lot of feel, but lose distance cause of the soft cover and also they would scuff very easy.  One hit with a ping wedge and wamo that ball was toast.  That was when they started to move to the professional made by titliest and has progressed from there.  Sorry, I don't think you will find them and there are better balls today than balata of yesterday.
