Where to take my father tonight?

Today is my fathers birtday. I want to take him somewhere special. Now I know most of you do not live in spokane, WA but I want to get you opinions on what kind of place I should take him for dinner. He suggested Taste of Inda (which is a great indian food restaurant) we will probably go there. He doesn't have a particualr food preference but he will eat spicy food if available. he is turning 45 today

mexican, vietnamese and thai foods are also spicy and you can go there too if you have those kinds of restaurants in there.

Take him to a decent steakhouse like Outback

I live 30 miles from you in Coeur d Alene. I would take him where he suggested, he either likes the food there, atmosphere there or just feels comfortable there. Maybe all three--have fun.

I'm not from Spokane...but I love Taste of India as far as chain restaurants go...
