So you don't necessarily want to be surrounded by kids again ;-) and you don't have children on your own. But you are not single, and you don't fall into the senior age group either.

But you - h a v e t o - take your holiday in August.

So where would you go, and why?

  1. You didn't provide your location.

Consider doing some white water rafting.   My wife & I did a day trip down a river that was quite nice.   Mostly younger couples & singles doing this activity.  One or two young teens and no small children.

You may find a tour with a multi day trip. Also consider looking into Kayaking  as well.  There may be a guide in your area with an over night package.

  2. Before we had children, we would "pretend" to be on holiday.  This basically involved taking time off work, eating out every night, shopping, lying in bed until lunchtime, and no housework.  It was great! - and not a rug rat in sight!

  3. some where in the UK possibly Yorkshire Dales, Lakes or maybe resort in a country that is not that touristy. Also maybe a city Holiday Barcelona, Paris, New York or London. Also try looking in brochures in travel agents that specialise in Couples holidays, luxury, Getaways. Maybe even try Cruise ships. Make sure you pick one which is not family orientated as quite a lot of them are now days.

    Hope this helps.
