Which Disney World park is better?

Question

I've decide on two possible choices, The Animal Kingdom, or the Magic Kingdom. Note there will be alot of preteens and kids. (look to last question relating to disney for more info.)

If I had to choose between those two I would say Magic Kingdom. But, my personal favorite is MGM

The Magic Kingdom - - lots to do & see in a relatively small space

I've always considered the Animal Kingdom as my half-day park - - they've got like 3 good shows, and 3 good rides, and you're done.  It's a huge park - - lots of walking and not much 'doing'.

personally i would go to animal kingdom, better rides, better shows and if your lucky a monkey or snake may appear and make an unexpected show with no walls and a front row ticket.

but if its young kids magic kingdom!

Why can't you go to both??

If you can only go to one, go to The Magic Kingdom, that's more kid friendly.

Magic Kingdom is SOO much better!  I mean, it has the CASTLE!  Plus, the children will love seeing all of the characters and the park has the most movie rides and shows!  It's super fun!

Given the ages, the Magic Kingdom, hands down, especially if they have not been to it before!  It's the flagship of Disney World and quintessence of Disney

For me animal kingdom was exciting..i was 10 when i last went

but i believe there are more rides in magic kingdom

I think the Magic Kingdom has more things to do. Animal Kingdom has more things to see.

Magic Kingdom is what most people think of when they think Disney. has a lot of rides for all ages.

Animal Kingdom has some rides but a great deal of the attractions are zoo style attractions where you walk and look at animals.

if you want a more active park, magic kingdom, if you want a more passive park (walk at your own pace, look at animals, shows, then go on some rides. maybe not in that order.) go to animal kingdom

The Animal Kingdom is just a big zoo...nothing too special.

Magic Kingdom is a lot more fun and gives more of a Disney experience. Theres more rides and they have to see the castle :)

Magic Kingdom is a must if you and/or yours have never been to Disney.  

Save the Animal Kingdom for next time.
