I think Haylen is a nice feminine name for a girl, although it reminds me of Eddie Van Halen if it has the same pronunciation. I like Hayden for a girl too. I know somebody who spells Haylen- Halyn and it sounds really pretty (hay-lin). Nice Choice.

Hayden and Haylen are MALE NAMES. Only in the past few years have they been used on girls. You're supposed to learn from other people's mistakes, not repeat them.

Please keep Hayden (or Haylen, correctly spelled Halen) on the boys! There are SO MANY beautiful names for girls, I simply do not understand why so many people are using masculine names for their daughters.

Hayden and Halen are in no way feminine. PLEASE people, STOP GIVING YOUR DAUGHTERS MASCULINE NAMES.

This is one of my biggest pet peeves. I will instantly loose all my respect for someone if I find out they named their daughter Shaun, Caden, Colin, or any other masculine name that is being used on poor little girl's these days.

Haylen is not swedish! Maybe you mean Helen(or Heléne or however you wanna spell it). That's definetily a girls name. If you name a boy that, you're like the most evil person ever. Haylen, as an english name, also sounds like a girls name. Because it sounds like a mix between Kahlen and Haylie.

I think of a boy when I hear it but it is a unisex name. Means "Hall of light" ... Hailey sounds more like girl to me.
