Which PS2 do you recommend?

Hi, Im new with this kind of products, and I want to start with a PS2 (not a PS3 because of the price). My question is, which PS2 do you recommend, since I see that there are several kinds (black, silver, slim, etc). Which one do you recommend?

the slim is good. color doesn't matter, but some of the earlier ps2's lasers will c**p out on you. if you get a fat, get it from gamestop or some other brick and mortar store, as the lasers c**p out quite often. however, if you get a slim, you're not supposed to play for more than 5 hours at a time, as they don't have a fan, only passive  cooling. i, personally, have had my ps2 running a game for 48 hours straight.

Get the slim its smaller and you don't need an adapter to connect to internet.

Slim. I don't think you'll find a brand new console if you're after the fat model, only used/refurbished ones. The difference is that slim has an ethernet port so no need for network adapters like for the old model. The color doesn't make a difference.

the color doesn't really matter. there only two kinds of ps2s the fat one and the slim one .I think the slim one is better but they say it overheats faster but I still think the slim one is better

I would have to say the fat ps2 for me I have had my fat ps2 for over 5 years and I play back ups and have a hard drive installed and never had a problem.

they are all the same
