Which SD card should I buy?

I want to use my 8 megapixel camera to take pictures and shoot plenty of video. Should I buy one of these:

  1. SanDisk 2 GB SD Memory Card ( SDSDB-2048-A11, Retail Package) is your best buy.

    I have SanDisk SD Memory Cards and they are fast enough for me.  Also, that is a great price.

    Have tried PNY priced the same in stores as this SanDisk and it was really slow. With SanDisk my camera would take video for 48 minutes non stop.  The PNY would cut off at about 15 minutes to process because the  PNY SD was slow.

    Check out the source link about cleaning camera and battery contacts.  If you use NiMH rechargeable batteries it will make them work like never before.


  2. The first 2 cards that are linked are slow and standard speed cards (Class 2).

    For fast camera performance (especially when recording movies), you need a faster card (Class 4 or Class 6). So, the Ultra II (Class 4) is a much better card, and well worth paying extra for. It's only a few dollars more, anyway...

    Don't forget to Format it before you use it and everytime you need to delete all images/files in one go.
