Are you asking which airline is the best in the United States or best in the world?

Delta is average.  Many people like JetBlue, Southwest or Midwest Express for U.S. carriers.

As for foreign airlines, people tend to vote for Singapore Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Virgin Atlantic, Emirates, Qantas, ANA, and Japan Airlines.

Honestlly, I have had problems with Delta.  I booked a flight in December from DFW to New York.  My itinerary was changed without my knowledge about 4 times.  At one point they had me with a 3 1/2 layover when I originally had a 45 minute one.  Then several times my selected seats were changed on me as well.  I had spoken with Delta's customer service reps and there is NO service in them whatsoever.  They were rude and demanding.  One rep even cancelled my whole trip!  I ended up having to right a letter to the CEO of Delta who finally solved everything. I still had to end up paying more though.  Delta's actual flight and flight attnedants were nice.  However, I would not go through the nightmare of dealing with their customer service and changes.  I have flown American a few times and they are okay.  I have alot of poeple that prefer Southwest and I know alot of people who have flown Continental with no complaints.  I hope this informaiton helped you even though it was mostly negative.  If you need any help planning your vacation please give me a call.

Delta is OK. Air Tran is OK. Jet Blue is GOOD.

Check out this website. They have many reviews from travelers on the airlines. The website also rates each airline by the amount of stars. They also have airport reviews, seat reviews, etc.
