Which are better: Bums or Tramps?

heres a lil background information:

bums are ppl that usually sit around with the signs and just sit... and stuff..

tramps are ppl that walks around

Hobos differentiate themselves as travelers who are homeless and willing to do work, whereas a tramp travels but will not work and a bum does neither.

Traditionally a Bum is someone who wanders from place to place (think hobo) and will pan handle or do odd jobs to get money, food and other necessities. They may stay in one area for a while, work a job then move on.

Traditionally a Tramp is similar to a bum only in that they travel from place to place. However, the tramp will rob and steal it food, money and other necessities.

Therefore, IMHO a bum is a respectable human being and not a bad way to live for some. (Think total freedom) However a Tramp is nothing more then a common thief too lazy to live any other way.
