Which board to choose?

Question

So snowboards are finally going on sale and I'm looking to buy my second board. I consider myself an intermediate rider. I don't do any park riding yet, but will, hopefully, next season. Mostly though I'm interested in freeriding, so I guess something all mountain would be best.

The boards I'm looking at are:

Roxy Ally (past Good Wood winner + magnetraction)

Ride Verona (may be too advanced for me)

Ride Vista (probably a better fit)

GNU B-Nice MTX (board I really wanted but it's hard to find)

Any recommendations between those? Other ideas?

Another question: Right now I have a 5150 board (so basically a beginner economy board), if I step it up in my next purchase and go with a Ride board, will I feel a difference in its ride?

Out of the boards you have picked i would avoid the Verona as like you say it will probably be too advanced for you. All the others look like a good choice for a second board for you. They are all All mountain boards but the Ally and B- nice are slightly more freestyle oriented, whilst the Vista is slightly more freeride. If i were you id probably go for the B- nice as its a good all round board with magnatraction, and is good value for money. Good luck with the riding.

I changed from a ride to a burton and felt a little difference but only because of the flex on the board...

GO for the RIDE VISTA!!

if you're going from a 5150 to a ride there will be a difference. i went from a santa cruz to a burton stigma and noticed a crazy differene. if you're lookin for a nice board the stigma is great (ladies board).....but anyways.... i'd go for the ride (either of them) also keep in mind the flex and wasit size and all that good stuff. dont short change yourself just for a nice board.

i've ridden a few and they are nice boards. also keep in mind the length....if you get a shorter board than you have now it will handle nicer. shorter boards = easier to handle but a little slower. have fun shopping. i'd also suggest some burton cartel bindings. those are some serious highbacks

***that feather she's sellin on the bottom link is a sick board....might want to condsider that one

I know boards are real expensive and i just wanted to let you know that i am selling mine.

It is a real good quality board. I bought it for $556 with boots and bindings and I am selling the board with boots and bindings for $400.

My board sounds perfect for what you are looking for.

I used it only 3 times- its looks brand new!
