legendary lens quality of nikon, 16x.

its only $400, so just don't expect SLR quality.

they are both good though.

look into olympus if you need something rugged.

i looked into most digital cameras, the technology is amazing, well except those made in europe which are archaic. its hard to go wrong with nikon, olympus or canon.

if battery life is a issue and color quality 2nd, get cmos rather then three ccd sensors.
