A Toyota Yaris, Honda Fit or Saturn Astra? I have a long commute in the Northeast and need something comfortable, dependable and good on gasoline. If you own one of these cars share your experience..thanks!

  1. Personally, I love the Astra. It looks great when you get the 3-Door XR Model. Plus, it is built very well and is very good on gas. But, the downside of this car is that it is made for Europe. Though this may be a good thing in some ways, it lacks in American Comforts. It doe snot have good cup-holders, and lacks a center armrest in general. Since you have a long commute, these missing features may mean a lot.

This is why I would choose the Honda Fit. The Fit may look small, but it is big inside and it returns a great MPG. Plus, it has a very simple AC and Radio Control Interface which is also very good for a long commute.

When you think about it, the Yaris is really expensive for what it offers. For over $11,000, you get a plastic filled interior, subpar crash test ratings, and lousy cup-holders.

    Good Luck
