For a family of 4 with 1 boy teenager age of 17 and one teenager girl age of 13 and a mom and dad.

Try not to make it too expensive like 8,000 or 9,000.

And we have been on the disney cruise, so any other than that.

  1. My family and I have gone on Royal Caribbean cruises 4 different times. The first one we went on, my siblings and I were 5,7,15 and 18 and we all loved it! I highly recommend them, they really have stuff for all ages!

  2. Most of the mass market cruises will be fine for a family,  RCCL, NCL, CCL, Princess etc should all be fine for a family.

  3. Carnival, there are different types of cruises. I would focus on where you are going and the 'shore excursions" such as scuba diving, swimming with dolphins, horseback riding. Something you know the teenagers will like. On some Carnival cruises there are dance clubs, and just being on a cruise in general, I think they will be happy.

  4. Try royal Caribbean it is great for families and a lot of fun.

  5. my family book or trip here i found there price very decent infact we save 30% of what an agent was going to charge.

  6. i would go with carnival, there is alot of teens things on this ship they have there own club with other teens there age , this will give mom and dad time to be alone and go to there clubs they will give you i think it like a beeper so you will know where ther at , at all times so you will be worry free ,they have a great staff that watch over them they will make alot of new friends , also you mite want to go check out this site Cruise Critic .com,they have alot of good info this will help you alot join the board so you can get all the info and what to do and see from other family cruisers carnival price are the cheapest but for familys and young folks they are the best good luck hope you have a great cruise

  7. I have been on many cruises and I think that you and your kids would greatly enjoy a Royal Caribbean cruise.. They do have great kids programs (like Disney)  in Adventure Ocean and in the teen's club called Fuel. Also, Royal Caribbean has the most things to do on their ships; on-board activities like ice skating, in-line roller skating, mini-golf, basketball/tennis court, the giant sized chess/checker deck sets, the rock climbing wall, and on their new Freedom Class ships (Freedom of the Seas, Liberty of the Seas & Independence of the Seas) they have the "Flowrider" which allows you to surf on a boogie board right on the back of the ship.  I cruised on the Freedom a couple years ago and its great.

The Freedom Class ships that I mentioned above also have a water park just for kids called the H2O Zone. It has a mini-lazy river, a small pool and a bunch of water cannons and other types of falling water to play in.

My suggestion would be for you to look at going on one of RC's cruises and specifically on a Freedom Class ( http://www.royalcaribbean.com/findacruis... ) or Voyager Class ( http://www.royalcaribbean.com/findacruis... ) ship. I have been on both of these class ships and they are great and I think your kids will enjoy them. The Freedom Class is a larger version of the Voyager class and it has THE most things to do. The Voyager Class is slightly smaller and has all of the on-board activities except the Flowrider. Take a look at the features on RC's web site.

These class of ships also give you a lot of cruise options and itineraries. Right now one of these ships, the Mariner of the Seas, leaves out of Port Canaveral (same place as Disney). The Freedom class ships sail out of Ft Lauderdale and Miami. We sailed on the Adventure out of Puerto Rico and some of the other Voyager Class ship leave from other ports.

So do look at going RC but also look for the two class of ships I mentioned so your kids, and you will have lots to do while you cruise.  And , you should be able to get a RC cruise for well under $8K as they are not as expensive as Disney.  Usually the 3rd and 4th persons in your cabin pay about half fare.
