  1. Unless the rules have changed you cannot race the 150 in the 85 stock class. You didn't give many details so I don't know what class you plan to race. You may be able to ride a 125 at your height, but it would be very tall for your size.

  2. I am in Australia and my sons race competitively.  My youngest is an A grade rider and also does Supercross.  Last year he moved from the 85cc to the Crf150r and he loves the new bike (he also races 125cc class and 250cc class).  The 150 does seem to have the advantage over the 85 but the only thing you really have to watch is that the 150 really needs a lot more maintanence.  we have had to replace his 150 again this year for the new season and are hopeful it will last the year but we may have to get another one mid year.  My son is 48 kilos and about 5ft 5 tall.  His 150 is worked as he races at such a high level and that tends to make the bike not last as long.  I dont know about where you are but in Australia they are trying to get rid of the 2 strokes and work towards only 4 strokes due to pollution.  If you end up going for  125 the CR is a good bike as my son has that as well as the Honda 250
