Which dirtbike is right for me?

Question

Im looking for a dirtbike. I am 5'6 and about 145 pounds. I want a dirtbike and I have been looking at a kx100, yz85, cr150r, or maybe something else. No chinese dirt bikes cuz there really cheap. A kx100 might be small.

I WILL BE RIDING MOSTLY IN AN OPEN DESERT.

if you are going to be riding in open desert I would suggest that you go sit on a 250cc 4 stroke and see if you could manage that for your height as I don't know if the crf150r would last long riding in those conditions.  I may be wrong but my son races a crf150r and we have to maintain it very regularly although his has been worked for racing.  But they are designed as a race bike  I think for that type of riding you may be best sticking with a 4 stroke, but you may find a 250cc would last longer.
