Which form of dance???

Question

I am going to do a miss teen pagent and i need to know which form of dance i should do...

NOT-

BALLET-not appealing to judges (to slow)

LYRICAL- everyone does it

POINTE- i don't know pointe

MAYBE-

JAZZ

TAP

MODERN

HIP-HOP

MUSICAL THEATER

I would like a reason why you picked it. I want a form that appeals to the judges. If possible please list some song suggestions.

its can be very SHAH BAM if u have the right choreography but its still a classic style of dance. judges prefer to watch jazz dances because there is so much u can do with it

I would go with modern because it's not your everyday dance. It's something original and you can pick a great song that helps you express yourself or a situation!

i would go with either a mix of jazz/hip hop (just make sure the music is clean!) or musical theater.

If I were you, I'd go with jazz. Tap is too "little kid-ish" if you're a teen. Modern is too emotional and "deep" if you ask me. Musical Theater is overdone if you ask me. Hip Hop isn't bad, but it might not get the response you want. Jazz is still a "happy go lucky" kind of thing, but it has that edge that appeals to a lot of people, and you don't have to make it too s**y or anything for it to work! I suggest picking one of your personal favorite songs to dance to, because then you'll show the right kind of enthusiasm since you love that song! Good Luck!
