For do-it-yourself at home coffee, I like Yuban---tastes just as good or better than coffees costing 3 times more.

For already brewed coffee, I like Peaberry's.

I think the best kind is the whole bean coffee you get from the fresh dispensers at your grocery store (we have Giant Eagle's here and they have an upscale "market district" selection). Then grind it yourself and brew via machine or french press. If you don't like it hot and black, you can always add creamer or flavored creamer and sugar.

If you make it yourself it pans out to $.25/cup or something ridiculous like that. Of course you will need a coffee grinder (~$20 for a decent one) and a coffee pot ($20-60) or french press ($15-50) to do it yourself but it will pay itself off within a year ;)

Yahoo! had an article on how to save money and brewing your own coffee was on there - better product and cheaper as long as you put in the work ;)

i love McD's and dunkin donuts..ive never been to starbucks..all that 'extra' stuff they put in doesnt seem to me like i'd still be drinking coffee

McDonalds over starbucks for sure, the taste is better, and lots cheaper. plus they make it how you want it. Starbucks is a name and you're paying for the name

The coffee varieties that I have found most flavorful are roasted by the same people that supply McDonald's. They have a great catalog of different bean coffees that you can have delivered fresh. I make it at home grinding and brewing it fresh as I like every morning and I take the rest with me in a thermos. I get the best coffee and save a bundle of money.

I rarely drink coffee but when I do it's the Costa Rican blends that do the trick for me. And then I go and spoil it by adding cream. My Costa Rican friends consider that to be sacrilege.

For brewed, I like Dunkin' Donuts coffee. I like various other hot and cold drinks from Starbucks, but to me, their coffee is too strong.

For my own cuppa joe, I like Gevalia. The coffee is ground extra fine, and the flavors are rich and full. I drink my brew black, so I use a little less per pot.
