Which is harder: Snowboarding or skiing?

For your first day on the slopes snowboarding is harder.  It takes a few days to pick up whereas skiing you can do a run within an hour or two of arriving and taking a lesson.

After the first week snowboarding is easier to get better at than skiing is.

There aren't really any skills that translate between the two so pick what you think you want to do, take a lesson and HAVE FUN!
