Which is more dense?

Is Oxygen more or less dense than the mixture of gases that is our atmosphere. ie if I filled a balloon with Oxygen would it float?

The density of air at sea level is about 1.2 kg/m³(1.2 g/L).  The density of oxygen is about 1.4 kg/m³.

Oxygen is MORE dense than air, so an oxygen filled baloon will not float.

a balloon filled with oxygen would float in water, but it would not fly into the sky.

If oxygen would make something float, all the oxygen would move to the top of the atmosphere and we would all die.
